Prop H8te

The people in San Francisco and Los Angeles are taking a stand against injustice!
The San Francisco City Attorney's office is planning to challenge the validity of Proposition H8TE to ban gay marriage.
A rep for the City Attorney's office says City Attorney Dennis Herrera will file the legal challenge in the California Supreme Court.
In addition, the first lesbian couple to get married in Los Angeles County, after the Supreme Court threw out the gay marriage ban, are also planning to bring a lawsuit against Prop 8.
Let's hope a lot of others plan to do the same.
Something needs to be done!
This is about EQUALITY!
This is a civil rights issue!!!!!!

What civil rights???

What a weird question. I don't understand it. One could parse and define "civil rights" but doesn't the spirit of the post speak for itself, that some people don't get to do things that other people do get to do, because of some intrinsic and unrelated personal characteristic that they have? I'm not sure there can be a meaningful conversation unless the spirit of the post is acknowledged. I'm not trying to sound mean but let's stop playing around like we don't understand that spirit. Dan
