iTaser

This remarkable little device was just unveiled at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It is a Taser... with a built-in mp3 player. 1 GB of memory and 100,000 volts of electricity, together at last like peanut butter and jelly. And notice the fashionable leopard print! Arizona-based Taser International admits its new device is particularly aimed at women. A spokesman said the inclusion of a music player would encourge purchases by women who want a form of self defense while out jogging, but who would otherwise take an iPod instead of a weapon. In addition, because of the added mp3 player function, the gadget is being picked up for sale in non-weapon retail outlets, to be sold alongside cellphones and other electronics. The company has already sold 160,000 units in the 43 states in which personal Taser use is legal.
